Free Prayer Request

Can I make more than one prayer request for 54 day rosary novena?
I would like to pray for more than one person when I will soon attempt to say the 54 day rosary novena.
I would like to know if I can say more than one prayer request , or is it one prayer request per 54 day novena?
To quote the Pieta Book, pg. 43. If you wish to obtain a favor, pray 3 nine-day rosary novenas (27 days of petition). Pray 3 nine-day rosary novenas (27 days of thanksgiving). It doesn’t say anything about more than one request. However, according to tradition and usage it’s one favor per 54-day novena. The lady in charge of the current ongoing 54-day novena in our local prayer group insists it’s only one. Personally, I don’t try to limit the compassion of the Blessed Mother or the generosity of God in such a way. If you feel God is leading you to address the needs of more than one person feel free to do so. Don’t let legalism stifle the Holy Spirit.

He carries them into his prisons and they do not know how they got there or how to escape. Most of them do not know they are in prison. The church seems to be helpless and totally defeated, it does not appear to even know there is a WAR going on. It appears that the Church has lost the war. The torment of the prisoners, that goes on inside their bodies cannot be described in words. Many kill themselves trying to escape the torment.BUT THERE IS HOPE AND HIS NAME IS JESUSInside this book is the story of a man that was in that prison. Jesus set him free and commissioned him and his wife as officers in his army to travel the world teaching his body how to set the devil’s prisoners FREE. Read how he and his wife walked in areas that they knew nothing about, and how Jesus taught them and gave the knowledge how to teach others to set the devil’s prisoners free.Send prayer request to: rccurrent_67@msn.com |

At the Master’s Feet $12.01 There is nothing so perfect in the world as to be quite above objection and criticism. The very sun which gives us light and warmth is not free from spots, yet notwithstanding these defects it does not desist from its regular duty. It behooves us in like manner to carry on to the best of our ability what has been entrusted to us, and strive constantly to make our lives fruitful. When the truths set forth in this book were revealed to me by the Master they deeply affected my life, and some of them have been used by me in my sermons and addresses in Europe, America, Africa, Australia, and Asia. At the request of many friends I have now gathered them together in this little book, and though it is possible that there are defects in setting them forth, I am sure that those who read them with prayer and an unprejudiced mind will benefit from them as I have. |

Excerpt: The Bogolubskaya Icon of the Theotokos is a Wonderworking Icon of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary) which is venerated in the Russian Orthodox Church. The icon was painted in the 1157 at the request of Grand Prince Andrew Bogolubsky, in commemoration of an appearance to him by the Mother of God. According to Orthodox tradition, when the prince was moving from Vyshgorod to the Suzdal Principality in 1155, he took the Wonderworking Icon of the Theotokos from the Mezhyhirskyi Monastery in Vyshgorod with him, and served molebens in front of it every day. About 11 versts (7.26 miles) from the city of Vladimir, as they approached the shore of the Klyazma River, the horses carrying the icon suddenly stopped and would not move forward. After prayer, the prince went to his tent and there the Theotokos appeared to him in a dream-like vision holding a scroll in her right hand, and commanded him to place her icon in the city of Vladimir and to build a temple (church) and monastery on the place of the vision. (Ever since this time, that icon has been known as Our Lady of Vladimir.) Great Prince Andrew did as he was told, and also commissioned an iconographer to paint the Bogolubsky Icon of the Theotokos. The Bogolubskaya Icon of the Theotokos with Ss. Zosimus and Sabbatius (Old Believer oratory at Volkov cemetery, St. Petersburg). On the icon, the Theotokos is depicted in full stature, holding a scroll in her right hand. Too Slick to Stick: Two Lives of a Player $15.67 Darrell Williams is a man on a mission. His mission is to make up for all of the wrong he has done in his life by living daily in the light of the Lord. His story is one of grace, of forgiveness, of gratitude. For almost 30 years Darrell pursued a criminal lifestyle. As an IV drug user, a crack addict and an alcoholic, he had only one goal, to score his next fix, regardless of the cost to others. He engaged in forgery, pimping, stealing, scamming and lying to get to his next high. To meet Darrell today you would never guess that he is a man with a wicked past. The people he has helped over the past seven years believe him to be an angel. Ex-cons, former drug addicts, troubled youth, and homeless vagrants all know that they can call on Darrell for help, support, and acceptance. There is no need too great for Darrell to address, and no kindness too large for him to extend. Darrell credits the Lord for his complete transformation from criminal to Christian calling on the Creator with one small prayer, "Lord, please take the taste for drugs and alcohol from me." With that request, his life was changed. To his very core, Darrell believes that the same miracle can be extended to anyone who has the courage to ask for it, and the faith to believe that they too can be free from the grip of mind-altering substances. After reading Darrell’s story you too will believe that miracles can happen in your own life and the lives of those you love. |

A prayer-meeting, held in her room by some of her young friends, had been a season of much refreshing to her spirits, though she had been unable to speak. She said God was very good; that, in the prospect of immediate death in the morning, she had been enabled to commit all the dear companions of the Bible class to the Lord. ‘ I have made,’ she remarked, ‘ a large request, but not too hard for Him to grant—that not one may be wanting at the day of our Lord’s appearing.’ She then referred again to the sweet seasons she had enjoyed with them—thanked me for the instructions the Lord had enabled me to give to her, and added, she believed the happy Sabbath evenings she had then enjoyed were foretastes of the Sabbath which would never end, when we should meet with the innumerable multitude of the glorified saints in the presence of Jesus,—completely like Him, free from sin. In revising this little volume for a fourth, edition, the author cannot pass over this endeared initial without breaking tho impressive stillness in which it stands—solitary and solemn. “The memory of the just is blessed.” It is fragrant and sanctifying. She was a widow and childless, and, at the request of her brother, came from Ireland to take charge of his two children and preside over his household—duties for which an affectionate nature, sound sense, good education, agreeable manners, and fervent piety peculiarly qualified her. SAD monarch of the world below, Stern guardian of this drowsy shade, Through thy unlovely realms I go To seek a captive thou hast made. O’er Stygian waters have I pass’d, Contemning Jove’s unjust decree, And reach’d thy sable court at last To find my lost Eurydice. Of all the nymphs so deckt and drest Like Venus of the starry train, She was the loveliest and the best, The pride and glory of the plain. O free from thy despotic sway This nymph of heaven-descended charms, Too soon she came this dusky way — Restore thy captive to my arms. As by a stream’s fair, verdant side, In myrtle shades she rov’d along, A serpent stung my blooming bride, This brightest of the female throng — The venom hast’ning thro’ her veins Forbid the freezing blood to flow. And thus she left the Thracian plains For these dejected groves below. Even thou may’st pity my sad pain, Since love, as ancient stories say, Forc’d thee to leave thy native reign, And in Sicilian meadows stray: Bright Proserpine thy bosom fir’d, For her you sought th’ unwelcome light, Madness and love in you conspir’d To seize her to the shades of night. But if, averse to my request, The vanish’d nymph, for whom I mourn, Must in Plutonian chambers rest, And never to my arms return — Take Orpheus too — his warm desire Can ne’er be quench’d by your decree, In life- or death he must admire, He must adore Eurydice. THE DESERTED FARM-HOUSE. THIS antique dome the unmouldering tooth of time Now level with the dust has almost laid; — Yet ere ’tis gone, I fix my humble rhyme On these low ruins, that his years have made. Behold the unsocial hearth! — where once… |
