Easy Fun Bible Memorization Game For Parties And Showers   by Lynn Davis

Bible games are not only fun to play, they can be educational as well.Especially if you are a parent or teacher and want your student to learn biblical principles. Playing bible memorization games will help reinforce what you teach everyday and will make learning about the bible fun and interesting.

Let’s face it, many of had trouble learning some facets of the bible as children (maybe even as adults) because the information was sometimes a little complicated to grasp, or because there was one too many “begats” to keep up with. That’s where a fun bible game can be of great assistance.

For example, say you want to reinforce learning the books of the bible. A really good bible memorization game to play would be “Books of the Bible Bingo”. For this bible game, you will need:

• Index cards
• Markers (Pins or coins etc)
• 5×5 Bingo Cards cut out or on fulls sheet of paper
• Party favors, prizes or gifts (doesn’t have to be expensive)
• Basket, bag, or bowl to hold index cards or slips of paper with individual books of bible names written on them

Next: Pass out the blank bingo cards and instruct everyone to fill in the blank squares of a 5×5 bingo card with names of the books of the bible randomly as they choose.

The hostess or person who will be calling out the books should write each name of the bible books on an individual index card or individual sheet of paper and place them in a basket (hat, bowl, bag).

Once this preparation work is complete, the hostess will announce that the game is beginning and offer any instructions such as whether the game is “black out” and all squares must be covered to win, or “5 in a row” and only the books in a row need to be covered in order to win.

Once the requirements are satisfied, the player should call out “Bible Bingo!”

To begin the hostess, calls out the names of the books of the bible. Each player marks off the names on their cards, just as they would in a traditional bingo game. When a player has marked off 5 books of bible in a row or the entire card, whichever they were instructed to do, the player should yell “Bible BINGO!”

Have the potential bible game winner call out the books of the bible on their card that they have marked. If they correctly marked the books and have indeed won the game, offer them a prize or favor as a gift.

There are many simple bible games like bible bingo that can be created and are easy to implement. It just takes a little imagination.
